Director of Finance, Revenue and Projects
Located in Q9's Head Office, and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Finance, Revenue and Projects has two roles: revenue management and reporting, and participation in projects in the Finance Department.

Primary responsibility for all revenue related financial reporting, including: |
- Managing the monthly accounting processes for revenue, including accurate billing and invoicing, and generating manual invoices for customer(s) where necessary;
- Preparing, updating, and tracking revenue forecasts, including analysis of variances relative to budget and forecast;
- Liaising with Account Managers and customers for all billing and invoice related issues;
- Generating fee deferral schedules and contracted revenue reports; and
- Tracking and reporting related party transactions.

Oversees all matters relating to accounts receivable administration and collections. Acts as customer contact for all billing and invoice related issues. |

Reviews Controller-generated monthly reports, including deferred revenue, unbilled revenue, accounts receivable, and amortization of capital expenditures. Follows up to ensure all reports are finalized accurately. |

Ensures all bandwidth purchased from suppliers is billed and tracked correctly, and prepares monthly bandwidth accrual reports. |

Calculates and reports monthly and quarterly sales commissions. |
 |
Tracks and reports all matters relating to the Company's investment account, including calculation of interest earned and accrued, and investments purchased and sold. |

Prepares quarterly revenue reports for presentation to the Board of Directors. |
 |
Ensures all audit requirements related to revenue matters are promptly and accurately addressed, and participates in quarter and year-end activities. |

Manages one Accounts Receivable Administrator. |

Works closely with the IT Department to communicate financial systems requirements. Oversees integration of reporting requirements with new and existing information systems. Ensures integrity of data is maintained throughout transitions. |

Assists in the Company's transition to IFRS reporting. |
 |
Assists in the planning and performance of audit procedures and analysis to facilitate the documentation and evaluation of the Company's compliance with Bill 198. |

Participates in overall review of quarterly and annual regulatory documents, including Management Discussion and Analysis, Financial Statements and related Press Release. |

Performs other ad-hoc financial projects or analysis as required. |

Professional accounting designation or equivalent experience |
 |
5 years of business/finance experience |
 |
Knowledge of revenue management and reporting processes. |
 |
Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel, working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint. |
 |
Demonstrated ability and attitude to re-think ways of doing things and leading change. |
 |
Must be a team player and a strong communicator who is willing to contribute to a variety of activities within the Finance Department. |
 |
Working knowledge of Great Plains Accounting Package would be an asset. |
 |
Prior experience in financial systems transitions would be an asset. |
