Q9 Networks Signs $20 Million, Five-Year Outsourcing Contract with Existing Customer
Customer Will Be Anchor Tenant in New Calgary Data Centre
Toronto, ON - November 16, 2006 - Q9 Networks Inc. (TSX:Q), a leading provider of outsourced data centre infrastructure for organizations with mission-critical IT operations, is pleased to announce that it has signed an existing customer to a new five-year contract valued at approximately $20 million.
In addition to extending the term of its current installation at Q9's downtown Calgary facility, the customer will outsource additional infrastructure currently hosted in-house and become an anchor tenant of Q9's new Calgary facility. Once the contracted services are fully provisioned, approximately half of the customer's infrastructure outsourced to Q9 will be co-located in the new facility.

Scheduled for opening in the spring of 2007, Q9's new Calgary data centre offers state-of-the-art facilities and services, including physical space, reliable power and cooling and 7x24 operational support. It will be highly secure, equipped with biometric security systems, video surveillance and on-site security officers and features highly redundant power and HVAC systems along with sophisticated fire detection and suppression systems. Customer equipment and the facility's environment will be monitored 7x24 by a Q9 Control Centre, staffed by experts versed in all aspects of IT, network and facilities management.

Key services are backed with service level agreement (SLA) guarantees for installation time and problem identification and response.
